Overview

Jim O'Brien received his law degree from the University of Maryland Carey School of Law, where he served as Executive Symposium & Manuscript Editor on the Journal of Business and Technology Law.  Upon graduation, he received the William P. Cunningham Award, which is presented to students selected by the faculty for exceptional achievements and service to the law school.

Following law school, Jim served as a law clerk to the Hon. Sally D. Adkins in the Maryland Court of Appeals.  He also clerked for the Hon. Melanie M. Shaw Geter in the Maryland Court of Special Appeals, and the Hon. Yolanda L. Curtin in the Circuit Court for Harford County.
