Professional Profile
Since joining Anderson, Coe & King, Kevin McGivern has represented corporate and individual clients in Maryland 's state and federal trial courts. His clients include national manufacturers, retailers, contractors and insurers as well as local school boards and individual professionals. Mr. McGivern possesses a range of experience handling general tort and contract matters, including personal injury, premises liability, product defect and commercial warranty claims.

Kevin McGivern received his law degree from the University of Maryland School of Law, where he served as an Executive Board Member for the Moot Court Board, Board Member for the University of Maryland School of Law's Honor Board and staff editor for the University of Maryland Law Journal of Race, Religion, Gender and Class.  He also received the William P. Cunningham Award in recognition for exceptional achievements and service to the law school.  Following graduation, Mr. McGivern clerked for the Honorable Judith C. Ensor in the Circuit Court for Baltimore County .

Representative Matters

•  Obtained a defense verdict in favor of Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company in the matter of Joseph Aydlett v. Nationwide Mut. Ins. Co .  Plaintiff, an insured of Nationwide Mutual, sought damages arising from an automobile accident pursuant to the underinsured motorist provisions of his automobile insurance policy.  After deliberations, the Baltimore City jury found that a phantom driver was not the cause of Plaintiff's accident and injuries and returned a defense verdict in favor of Nationwide Mutual.
