Representative Matters
- On behalf of a local assistant principal and Board of
Education, won a three-day jury trial in the Circuit Court of Baltimore
County in a case involving allegations of bullying and failure to provide
security. The matter involved intense cross-examination of
plaintiffs and their doctors, which discredited the liability and damages
claims.
- On behalf of a local Board of Education,
won an appeal of the grant of summary judgment by the Circuit Court of
Howard County in a case involving a sulfuric acid spill during an honors
chemistry experiment. Mr. Beaulieu successfully argued at both the
trial court and the Court of Special Appeals that the plaintiff was
contributorily negligent as a matter of law, and that the experiment at
issue did not rise to the level of an abnormally dangerous activity such
that strict liability could apply.
- On behalf of a national retailer and
contractor, respectively, prevailed in an arbitration arising from the
breach of contract and consumer protection claims of a disgruntled
customer. Deposition testimony and document review revealed buyer's
remorse and plaintiff's exaggerated expectations in relation to the
accommodations made by the defendants.

successfully limited the exposure of his client by employing 4th Party
claims and creative settlement negotiation strategies. In doing so,
greatly reduced client's litigation costs and maintained positive business

- Represented a county Board of Education in an assault,
wrongful termination, and false imprisonment case filed by disgruntled
employee. Used meritorious counterclaims against plaintiff to secure
voluntary dismissal with prejudice of all counts against Board and other
named defendants.
- Represented a county Board of Education in negligence
action where weightlifting competitor sustained severe injuries at a meet
held in school gymnasium. Secured summary judgment at trial court

Appeals on one basis of reversal, which was granted. Opinion of
Court of Appeals is pending.

in a contract dispute in the Circuit Court for Baltimore County.

which affirmed summary judgment.
