Professional Profile
Jason P. Beaulieu represents Boards of Education throughout the state of Maryland , as well as Fortune 500 corporations and a variety of other companies in general liability matters. Mr. Beaulieu also represents clients in appellate matters, having argued on numerous occasions before Maryland 's Court of Special Appeals.
Jason P. Beaulieu is a graduate of the University of Maryland School of Law, where he served as manuscripts editor for the Maryland Law Review and was a featured columnist for the school's newspaper, The Raven . Mr. Beaulieu later clerked for the Honorable Nelson W. Rupp, Jr. of the Circuit Court for Montgomery County , Maryland . Mr. Beaulieu received his undergraduate degree (English language and literature; Spanish minor) from the University of Maryland at College Park .
Prior to joining Anderson, Coe & King, Mr. Beaulieu worked at a prominent, mid-size firm in Baltimore , where he concentrated on commercial bankruptcy and litigation matters.
Before earning his law degree, Mr. Beaulieu taught English and Spanish at DeMatha Catholic High School in Hyattsville , Maryland . He is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association.

Representative Matters
• Represented a county Board of Education in an assault, wrongful termination, and false imprisonment case filed by disgruntled employee. Used meritorious counterclaims against plaintiff to secure voluntary dismissal with prejudice of all counts against Board and other named defendants.
• Represented a county Board of Education in negligence action where weightlifting competitor sustained severe injuries at a meet held in school gymnasium. Secured summary judgment at trial court level with three of four bases being upheld at the intermediate appellate level (published opinion). Wrote petition for certiorari to Court of Appeals on one basis of reversal, which was granted. In an opinion with far-reaching ramifications, the Court of Appeals reversed the Court of Special Appeals and reinstated the summary judgments entered in favor of the defendants.
• Represented national retail chain in premises liability action filed in Baltimore City where customer tripped on a wooden pallet. Secured summary judgment at trial level on the basis of no primary negligence and contributory negligence as a matter of law. After plaintiff's appeal, argued case before Court of Special Appeals, which affirmed summary judgment.
• Represented school bus driver in fatal accident at an Eastern Shore intersection. Secured favorable resolution at mediation and saved county school board and taxpayers substantial sum of money.
• Represented school bus driver in criminal case arising out of in accident involving a school bus and a sheriff's vehicle. Secured a judgment of acquittal on behalf of the driver at the close of the State's case.
• Represented Realtor in a professional negligence action involving alleged breach of fiduciary duty. Secured favorable resolution with no action taken against Realtor or her license.
• Assisted clients in forming corporations and limited liability companies and providing resident agent services.
